Comp Week Day 1 PDX

My days are a little flipped around for comp week. I try to get all my heavy work done in the first 2 days so I do HW and Braemar on Sunday, Monday is Hammers, Tuesday is off, Wednesday is LW and Thursday is usually open stone. O-stone is my worst event relatively to the competition so I try to get it in closest to the competition. Training is similar, Day 1 and 2 are fairly intense and the rest of the week tapers with mostly high speed low intensity work. I changed this week a little in that I hit hammers on Saturday since my ab was hurting and I wanted to get some work in as far from the comp as possible.

Warm Up:
Bike
Hip Warm Up
Agility Ladder

56
11 throws total out nearly to 43'
Took about 5 one turns to get to 40'+

Training:
Clean Pulls 125kg to hole 5
x3x5

Squat
315+40# chain x3x4
275+40# chain x3

Enhanced eccentric side lunge jumps
18# x3x4

Core Work

Pretty good day. Trying to keep the movements fast as I start the transmutation block. I'll keep the percentages in the 50-80% range through the next 3 weeks emphasizing RFD. Very happy with the heavyweight. Felt good to start to get some push on the weight with an emphasis on a big finish, I should be able to add a foot or two at Portland if I'm fresh. Anything 43+ would be a big boost for the end of season push.
